Today I have had a meeting with the crisis management team set up by my supervisor based of Sascha’s and mine idea to come to creative solution during the pandemic, which includes my supervisor, his partner, Sascha and myself. The idea behind the CMT is to see what we as HR are up against too, what challenges are we facing in this crisis, and what can we do for both our clients and customers. Not so long ago was I asked to send out a questionnaire to our colleagues to measure their motivation in this changing situation and sum up and report the final results to my supervisor. The results were the founding bloc for my supervisor to launch the CMT. I feel like my supervisor is really listening to what I have to say and that is encouraging. Creating such a team opens up new oppertunities for some, however, closes t others which is unfortunate. However, we have to be optimistic and work towards the best. It is also an idea to include more employees than two seniors and two interns, if the virus will have its second wave it would be smart to incorporate more experienced employees instead of interns like myself. Although this is a great learning opportunity.
After our meeting, Sacha and I were asked to work together and contact the regular customers and let them know that as a company we are strictly following government restrictions to prevent the further spread of the virus and that we are looking forward to picking up our cooperation after the restrictions are lifted. Together we have decided to write an email/newsletter to all companies in the VF database who have been involved in cooperation or used the firm’s service more than 2 times in the past 12 months. Also, have we come up with devise strategies to get the company and all of its employees through these difficult times as soon as possible. Our supervisor has given us quite a lot of freedom, however, Sacha was very goal oriented. and wanted to have as much done as possible in the first few hours.
